Just wanted to let folks know of the awesome service I received from William Desrochers. Customer emailed me a horrible jpg Thursday afternoon. They needed to present samples to a potential customer on Friday. The jpg they sent was not going to make anyone happy. I sent the graphic to Will to see if he might be able to meet my deadline. Will worked his magic in plenty of time. We were able to overnight samples to the customer for Friday. Customer calls at noon Friday with a 3000 piece order! Thanks to Will's fantastic work and turn around my customer was very happy and so am I.
Ron Hill

Seems to be "average" service for William. What would take most of us hours or days to do, he can do in under an hour.
William is truly magnificent...he's saved our bacon numerous times!
You can almost see William smiling as he hits the "send" button to submit his work to his customers - he loves what he does, and knows that he's helping others, too. What a guy!!

Vector Conversion

Send me your "artwork" today and I will send you a clean vector file with crisp corners and smooth curves that can be reproduced at any size.
All work is done by hand, accurately and quickly.

Raster to Vector Conversions start at $9.00 for basic logos.

Vectoring is the computer process needed to transfer a graphic design into a screen-printing or decal cutting format. This process ultimately determines the quality of your finished product.

At Excalibur Creations & Recognition, I use the latest technology to achieve somes of the best vectors. The upfront investment on quality vectoring will be well worth it in the long term.

Vector Charges: $9.00 & up. (Charges will be confirmed after I receive the artwork)

Time Lead: 24-48 Hour Service is standard

Color Separations: Free(Spot Colors only - PMS Colors factory quote required)

Consistent Excellent Quality

These images are created using Corel Draw. The raster image is manually traced, to produce artwork of the highest quality.

In order to convert your logo to all the correct formats, our designers first have to convert your logo into a VECTOR based format. This is done by literally tracing the outlines of each shape using a professional VECTOR based drawing program (Corel Draw, Illustrator, Inkscape).

This is a fairly time consuming process and requires a highly skilled designer.

Hopefully, I will have the correct font that it used in your logo and can simply replace the PIXEL based version. If not, I'll have to trace the font by hand and that will increase production time significantly.

The best choice for logos and other line art is an EPS file (Encapsulated Post Script) or SVG file (Scalable Vector Graphics).

EPS: A high resolution image stored in the Postscript page description language. The EPS standard enables users to transfer high-resolution graphics images between applications.

SVG: is a family of specifications of an XML-based file format for describing two-dimensional vector graphics, both static and dynamic (i.e. interactive or animated).

You can size EPS or SVG images without sacrificing image quality. EPS or SVG files are typically generated from vector based programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, or CorelDraw. EPS files are fully scalable and are not susceptible to distortion.

Also, spot colors are easily specified in vector programs, which comes in handy if your project is not going to be produced in 4-color process.

I can output to the following file types :

  • CDR- Coreldraw
  • AI- Abobe illustrator
  • SVG- Inkscape
  • WMF- Windows metafile
  • EMF- Enhanced windows metafile
  • DXF- Autocad
  • DWG- Autocad
  • PLT/HPGL- Plotter file

Rhinestone Design

I can design any pattern for you and in any specific rhinestone size you need for your transfer. Anyone that has a vinyl cutter can now cut their own templates without owning special software or a special cutter.

General Setup Guide lines:

For words, you are probably better off going with a smaller stone (SS6 or SS10) and use more of them ... your designs will "read" better. Larger rhinestone sizes will require fewer stones, but will be harder to read. For Artwork, logos, etc., Please indicate Stone Size, stone placement.

  • Lettering in Rhinestone Transfers should be at least 1" tall. The maximum width that can be applied to most shirts is about 8-9"...
  • Choose simple fonts... Block lettering is much easier to read than fancy fonts. If you must use a Script font, use a very simple one. Fancy fonts create confusion to the eye when seen as dots. Rhinestone transfers are dots of rhinestones not continuous lines.
Rough guide to number of rhinestones used:
  • 1" letters will use about 18-20 or so rhinestones per letter in a SS 6 Size.
  • 1 1/2" Letters will use about the same number in a SS 10 size.
  • 2" Letters will use about 25 rhinestones per letter in a SS 10 Size
  • More or less rhinestone can be used, the final look of the transfer is what you are after.

Rhinestone Transfer design services are based on an hourly rate of $25.00 per hour.
